This Certification Program consists of 10 required courses which meet the foundation qualifications for the basic science component of the qualifications for Board Certification as a Diplomate in Medical Psychology.  This group of courses requires a pre-paid $1,500 matriculation fee for AMP members and $1,700 to be assigned a faculty/instructor/mentor and to activate your modules and course work.  The student may make arrangements to pay in installments.

The required curriculum is listed in the program section labeled Continuing Education (left tab on our Home page), and by scrolling down.

This is one path (totally online and distance learning) to satisfy the basic science, knowledge base, and foundation skill and psychopharmacology training to meet the basic requirements as an alternative to the VERITAS and outside approved CE programs, a matriculated and accredited graduate program acceptable to the board, and licensure as a medical practitioner.

It also represents a certificate program for members of our society who see this as a major practice or learning interest area, but who may not currently wish to commit to finishing a residency and written and oral examination necessary to become a Diplomate in Medical Psychology.
