COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is about the broken family court system that has become so dominant in deciding custody arrangements. The readings are transcriptions of a conference that was sponsored by the Cummings Foundation. The issues covered range from the failings of the system to how custody arrangements have been sabotaged by ideology to both broad and specific solutions to fixing a system that is in dire need of repair. The role of assessment and treatment are presented.
